Get up to $20,000 deduction on each piece of dental equipment
The release of the 2015 budget was all smiles for small businesses with the Australian Government initiating an estimated $5.5 billon bonanza focused around generous tax breaks to stimulate the economy and help 2 million small businesses, dentists included.
Extension of the deductibility threshold to 30 June 2018
On 9 May 2017, the Government announced an extension of this instant asset write-off provision for small business to 30 June 2018. Small businesses can immediately deduct the business portion of most assets if they cost less than $20,000 and were purchased between 7:30PM on 12 May 2015 and 30 June 2018.
